“Galv-Alfatech 4.0: development of an intelligent remote galvanic plant management service” is a course that aims to study and implement a pilot plant for technical surface treatments driven by a “cyber-physical system”, i.e. a computer system capable of interacting continuously with the physical system where it operates remotely. The system will be composed of physical elements each with computational capacity and will closely combine the so-called “three Cs”: computational capacity, communication and control capacity. Artificial computing and communication structures (so-called “cyber”) will form a distributed system capable of interacting directly and dynamically with the activities of the surrounding facility.
The research and innovation path aims to achieve – in a prototype – experimental validation of a service for the remote management of galvanic plants according to the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) model: the potential customer will entrust the management and optimisation of an entire company process related to surface treatments to Alfatech Srl, which will take care of the entire procedural control, overcoming the “simple” outsourcing logic that currently governs most of the company's orders.
